On March 19 – 21, 2016 Disabled Peoples’ International (DPI) will hold a Global Conference on the Advancement of the CRPD through the 2030 Agenda: No-one Left Behind, in Cairo, Egypt. The conference will set the stage for addressing the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and their potential contributions on the Sustainable Development Goals 2030. Global Chair, Rachel Kachaje, and World Council will welcome special guests, Judith Heumann, the Ministry of Social Solidarity in Egypt, and Members of the Arab Organization of Persons with Disabilities (AOPD), International Disability Alliance, League of Arab States (LAS) and Representatives of the United Nations.

DPI will celebrate 35 years in 2016, and over 100 DPI members from over 100 countries will be attending the Celebrations, honoring past DPI World Leaders, and planning the future of DPI on the global stage, ensuring the rights of 1 billion people with disabilities!
